TT-FSS recently completed fabrication, assembly, machining, painting, and shipment of a two-leaf bascule bridge to South Florida. This major bridge project consisted of more than three million pounds of steel members and was fully assembled for dimensional verification at our Port Redwing facility prior to shipment. This project represents over 50,000 labor hours and was completed with a strict fabrication tolerance of only 0.005 inches—that’s about the thickness of construction paper. Critical planning and coordination between all our departments was required, as well as solid communication with our customer and the project team erecting onsite. TT-FSS looks forward to the next opportunity to showcase our skill, precision, and attention to detail on a project like this one.
